The Landing at Appleyard Apartments Parents FAQ
Deposits are waived provided that the resident uses a guarantor. A guarantor is someone who is able to step in if the resident is unable to make his/her monthly housing payments. However, you do have the option to pay a deposit without the use of a guarantor. Please give the office a call for updated deposit information.
Renters insurance is not required, although we do recommend it for tenants. Renters insurance can protect your items in the event of flood, fire, or theft. We do not promote any specific insurance company.
All-inclusive goes into what items will be provided in your living space. We offer fully furnished apartments. Each resident’s bedroom will come equipped with a full-size bed, desk with chair, a dresser and a nightstand. One unique feature is that each bedroom will also include a kitchenette (microwave and mini fridge will be provided).
The living/common area, which is shared by the other roommates, will feature a full-size sofa, love seat, coffee table, end table, and a flat screen television. All appliances are provided in each apartment, including a washer and dryer.

The Landing at Appleyard is located directly across the street from TCC. We are just 300 steps from the campus! Students who live here love the ease of being so close to campus. If you don’t have a car or want to save on gas, you can walk to campus by living here!
No, we do not allow pets within our community. So make sure you leave Mr. Fluffers at home!
Rent is due on the 1st of every month and becomes late on the 3rd at midnight, late fees start on the 4th.
Yes, we do. We currently offer 6-month and 9-month lease agreements. However, you can always reserve your home for the fall, spring, and summer by signing a 12-month agreement.
Yes. Residents are required to find their own sublets. The office will work with the resident and sublet to make sure all necessary paperwork is complete.
Yes, we are more than willing to accommodate those that already have roommates in mind. However, students are not required to have roommates to lease with us. We will issue roommate matching forms to all applicants to make sure we can help find a suitable match based on hobbies, interests, and other detailed questions.
Yes, we do. Here at The Landing we want to ensure that you have a choice in your housing. On our roommate matching form, we will ask you questions concerning whether you would prefer a coed apartment or not. If you are bringing roommates who are coed, please let us know on your roommate matching form.
Move-in day is on August 17, 2017.
Yes we do.
We do our best to ensure that your student is compatible with his/her roommate. The roommate matching form is key! We ask that this form be filled out honestly and completely. However, if issues do arise, we have protocols in place in the office to attempt to resolve any matter.
Yes. The property currently has a live-in sheriff, as well as security patrol after hours. They are at our residents’ disposal if they have any security concerns.
